Some video stores manage to hang on in a declining industry
In an age where movie rentals are sent by mail, streamed instantly onto your computer and offered on-demand as part of cable packages — some the same day they play at theaters — why should anyone leave the house to rent a movie?
“That's a good question,” said David Horton, owner of Hometown Video in Killen.
Horton and fellow owners of brick-and-mortar video rental stores for years have been the destination point for easy and relatively cheap movies.
