Acting on complaints from local business owners and information gathered from police informants, the Sheffield vice and narcotics agents arrested three people Wednesday for promoting prostitution, officials said.
“The businesses were having people just hanging in their parking lots for hours at a time and when police would come by they would leave and then come back,” Sheffield Police Chief Greg Ray said. “Based on observations from police officers and then getting information from the informants, our agents determined that these people were promoting prostitution and selling drugs in these parking lots.”
