The services for Mr. Steven E. Davis will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2005, in the chapel of Elkins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Phillips, the Rev. Gary Formby and the Rev. Marvin Champion officiating. Burial will follow at Waynesboro Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Steve was born March 13, 1958, in Wayne County, Tenn., to his late parents, Eunice Eatie and Josephine Davis Ray. He passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at the age of 47. He was a 1976 graduate of Wayne County High School, where he played trumpet in the Wayne County High School Band. Steve and his friends, Mark Collie and Tony Creasy, started Stonebridge Band during high school and continued to play for several years. Although he enjoyed many types of music, gospel was one of his favorites. Steve was a member of New Beginnings Church. He was the owner and operator of CNC Design and Electronics, which he opened in 1996. He appreciated the people who worked for him. He also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.
