Plants may need protection from cold temps
It seems like only days ago that ladybird beetles (the insect formerly known as labybugs) were crawling with determination across foliage and flowering plants in Florence as mild temperatures (remember mild temperatures?) encouraged bulbs, shrubs and trees across the valley to send out shoots and blooms. The forecast low for this morning was about freezing. Pity the ladybird beetle.
