Do the right thing

I am writing as a concerned citizen of the Bluewater Creek community.
The city of Killen is continuing with its effort to have a sewage treatment plant built outside their city limits that will empty into Mill and Bluewater creeks before making their way into the Tennessee River.
This is a serious situation that requires the attention of all who live in Lauderdale County.
Killen has been given the option of connecting their sewage lines with the city of
Florence.
But they seem to feel that dumping their treated sewage into our creeks is a better option for them.
Why?
There comes a time when it is vital to look past the pocket book in order to do what is right for the environment and the surrounding
communities.
I believe that this portion of Lauderdale County is one of the most beautiful areas there is.
I do not want it to be tarnished with a sewage-filled creek.
