Get all the facts

I've been reading the comments made by the people living near Bluewater Creek regarding the sewage treatment facility that may or may not be located in that area.

Based on the comments I have read it appears some people are under the impression that raw sewage will be dumped directly into Bluewater Creek.

Does everyone not understand that the water from a properly managed sewage treatment facility will probably be cleaner than the water that is already in the creek?

Does everyone know that Brooks High School has a sewage treatment facility in the school yard, that treated water goes into a little creek near the school? Have you ever smelled anything when you drive by the school? Lawrenceburg, Tenn.'s treated water has been going into Shoal Creek ever since they started their operation. The contamination from farming operations is probably worse than any treated sewage water, but I don't think any of us want to stop people from farming.

I don't live in the Killen city limits but I do live very close and would hope that some day I could have the service. People looking for places to open a business will choose to locate where they won't have to build their own treatment plant if possible.

My point is: let's get the facts before we decide whether to support this project. This is very important to the entire area, from Shoal Creek to Bluewater Creek and beyond.

Why are all of you who know the facts and know the need so silent? The people who are against it sure are not silent, and from what I read, they may not have all the facts.
