Lauderdale County man who is accused of trying to steal large appliances from a residence.
Edward Carlos Shook, 48, 136 Lauderdale 61,
Florence, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, according to Muscle Shoals police.
Shook is accused of trying to steal a stove and refrigerator from a residence in the 100 block of Philadelphia Avenue, said Lt. Sieg Mueller.
The incident took place around 2 p.m. Monday, Mueller said.
He said a neighbor saw a suspicious vehicle in the area and contacted police.
"When Officer Ben Montgomery got to the residence, he saw Shook trying to get the items and took him into custody," Mueller said.
