Florence pitcher Mary Ware improved to 5-1 with a three-hit shutout over six innings in an 8-0 win against visiting Jasper, Ind. on Wednesday.

Ware struck out six and didn't walk a batter. Reka Southward was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI. Olivia Watkins had two hits and drove in two runs. Jessica Campbell also had two hits and an RBI.

Rogers 6, Wilson 3: Zeke Pigg picked up the win against Wilson in late action Tuesday. Pigg and his brother, Caleb, each had two hits. Lucas Beavers chipped in with three hits.

Red Bay 9-0, Phil Campbell 4-16: Red Bay's Stephen Prestage had two hits and pitched a complete game in the first game of a doubleheader split against Phil Campbell in late action Tuesday.

Nicholas Taylor finished with two hits, and Chase Lindsey had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Tigers (13-6, 1-1).

In the nightcap, Korey Pounders and Caleb Thompson had three hits apiece to lead Phil Campbell's offensive attack.

Shoals Christian 2, Choctawhatchee (Fla.) 6: Andrew Almon and Pete King each drove in a run as Shoals Christian fell to 9-10 with the loss on Wednesday.

Mark Morrissey and Taylor Pickens had doubles for the Flame.
