  • United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Alabama needs: Paper towels, baby wipes, Lysol spray, bathroom cleaner, Kleenex, Clorox, copier paper, legal-size envelopes, 9-by-12 clasp envelopes, color copy paper, laminating paper, card stock paper, 1-by-2 5/8 mailing labels, glue sticks, paper or Styrofoam plates, liquid dish washing soap, large, medium and small trash bags, zipper-style plastic bags, stamps, plastic forks and spoons and, "Baby Einstein" and "Magic School Bus" DVDs. 381-4310

  • Shoals Habitat for Humanity has opened a ReStore at 210 S. Royal Ave., Florence. The store has building supplies such as windows, doors, cabinets, lighting and bath fixtures and appliances for sale. Many new items will be offered at 50 percent off retail cost and slightly used items at 20 percent. Habitat is accepting any tax-deductible donations of building supplies, appliances, cabinets and fixtures, as well as furniture that is in good, sellable condition.   • The American Cancer Society, 104 S. Poplar St., Florence, needs: Wigs, wig brushes, hair picks, wig shampoo, scarves, hats and turbans for women who have experienced hair loss because of chemotherapy or radiation. 767-0825

  • The Food Bank of Northwest Alabama, 615 Geneva Ave., Muscle Shoals, collects and warehouses food and household items. The bank gives food and products to its member organizations, such as churches that give the products to the needy. The food bank serves Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale and Lawrence counties, and is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday. 383-3223

  • Mama's Educational Turtle Haven and Rescue, a chartered and not-for-profit program, needs several items: sump pump for pumping old pond water; cull produce (canned, frozen or fresh); bags of dog, cat, rabbit or any animal food; weed killer; Malathion spray for flies; pine or cedar shavings; perennial plants; paint sprayer; royal blue or black spray paint; monetary donations payable straight to Florence Utilities for heat lamp cost; and outdoor extension cords. Any turtle that needs a home accepted. Drop box area for turtles and supplies available. There is a locked donation box at the haven, 157 E. Lee Ave., Florence.
