Underwood teams post victories Dixie Angel (9-10)

KILLEN - Hunter Rhodes, Will Clemons, Will Smith and Jesse Gray had two hits each to lead Underwood National past Rogers 9-6 in a Farm League tournament game on Monday.

Underwood is 2-0 in the round-robin tournament and will play Rogersville at 6 p.m. today.

Daniel Mitchell, Colton Chamblin and Dennis Sutton had two hits each for Rogers in the loss.

On Saturday, Underwood edged Brooks 2-1 as Rhodes had two hits, including a home run.

Underwood American 14, Central 4: At Colbert Heights, Tucker Rhodes drove in three runs and Cadarrius Green and Preston Smith had two RBIs apiece to lead Underwood past Central. Rhodes, Green and KaDallas Siner each had two hits for Underwood, which plays Tuscumbia at 6 p.m. today.

Will Murphy and Seth Jacobs paced Central with two hits each.

Dixie Youth (11-12)

Brooks 6, Rogersville 0: Mason Castile pitched a one-hit complete game for the win and got support form a four-tun fourth inning. Holden Corum had two RBIs, while Sam LeMaster and Zac Olive each drove in one run for Brooks.

Dixie Ponytail (11-12)

Brooks 3, Tuscumbia 2: Hope Finley pitched a complete game for the win. Carson Franks homered and Lindsey Lovelace drove in two runs for Brooks. Tuscumbia won 9-0 in game 2 to advance to the district championship Thursday in Lexington. No individual stats were available for Tuscumbia.

American Legion

Florence Post 11 Black 12, Muscle Shoals 11: Jared Mothershed got the win in relief, despite three-unearned runs, thanks to a five-run eighth by Florence. Zack Summy totaled four hits. Randy Gooch, Blake Waddell and Corey Flanagan had three hits apiece. Andrew Almon, who belted a solo homer, and Drew Clark finished with two hits each. Florence will play Thursday at a tournament on the campus of Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, Miss.

Late game

Greenhill 8, Decatur 6: Haven Kelley hit a home run and Destanie Reed added a double to lead Greenhill to an 8-6 victory over Decatur on Saturday in the sub-district tournament at Muscle Shoals.
