Elizabeth Crain was married to Homer for 58 years and served by his side. She served with him in Peru, South America, for 21 years, serving the Lord as missionaries since 1970. She was a great inspiration to many and loved by all.
Her home was open to everyone. She showed her love of the Lord through her love and work. She touched so many lives. I can't tell you how many children were named after her here and in Peru. She taught us that living in Peru was an adventure. She loved the people so much, she would think of ways to have the children we taught to enjoy learning about the Lord.
She would draw and cut out something about the lesson and put a verse on it so they could memorize it and take home. They couldn't wait to see every Sunday morning what Sister Crain had made for them. We would visit their homes and these little colored fish, flowers and boats were taped to their bamboo walls. She taught the women how to encourage their husbands to come to church. How they needed not get discouraged and show their love of Lord by continuing to go to church. She would show her excitement when they finally would come to church.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, teacher and counselor. She will be dearly missed.
