Two arrested on theft charges
Two Colbert County men have been arrested in connection with the theft of three vehicles.
Colbert County Sheriff Ronnie May said Charles Matthew Hamm, 22, 825 Sherrod Lane, Tuscumbia, and Derrick Lane Ford, 18, 604 Stuart St., Tuscumbia, have each been charged with first-degree theft of property.
They are accused of taking a 2006 Suzuki Forenza, 1998 Chevrolet Blazer and a 1994 Ford Ranger.
Authorities said two of the vehicles were wrecked and a third was hidden in a wooded area.
Hamm and Ford are being held in the Colbert County Jail.
RUSSELLVILLE
Authorities search for missing girl
Franklin County officials are looking for a 15-year-old girl who has been missing from her residence for nearly a month.
Authorities said Vanessa Gibson, Russellville, was last seen in late July leaving her residence. Investigators said the girl got into a 2001 red Crown Victoria, which was driven by 20-year-old Manuel Narva.
She was reported missing Aug. 13.
Gibson is described as dark complected and has brown shoulder-length hair.

Stefan Tyrone Horrison, 42, Little Rock Street, Sheffield; third-degree burglary.
Andrea Michelle Harrison, 29, two counts of second-degree forgery and second-degree theft of property.
Justin Lee Butler, 20, 1441 Alabama 101, Rogersville; grand jury indictment for unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Jimmy Dee Walker, 46, 1107 Geneva St., Apartment A, Muscle Shoals; felony driving while under the influence.
Michael Anthony Reiter, 22, 2104 Jennifer Ave., Muscle Shoals; unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Russellville police
Jeremy Ergle, 28, Franklin 20, Phil Campbell; second-degree theft of property.
Sheffield police
Jerry Wayne Hutchins, 57, 101 Southwest St., Tuscumbia; domestic violence second-degree assault.
