Police searching for store robber
Police are searching for two people who are accused of robbing a local convenience store.
Muscle Shoals police said a man walked into the business at Second Street and Wilson Dam Road around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday armed with a pistol.
Police said the man walked around the counter and told the clerk he wasn't going to hurt him. The robber then grabbed money from the register and left.
Police said the man got into a 2000 white Cadillac driven by a man who was not wearing a shirt. The car went east on Second Street.
The robbery suspect is described as a black man, wearing a white T-shirt with dark sleeves and blue-jean shorts. The driver also was described as a black man.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 383-6746 or CrimeStoppers at 386-8685.

Five arrested on drug charges
An ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity has resulted in five arrests.
Lawrence County Sheriff Kenny Taylor said the five were arrested after the search of a residence at 120 Brace Road, Summertown, that uncovered a meth lab.
Arrested were: Theodore Jackson Gatny, 26, 6898 Oak Hill Road, Centerville, Tenn.; Ashley Starr Cooper, 20, 112 Atkinson Heights, Centerville; Nicky Wayne Calvert, 43, 120 Brace Road, Summertown; Penni Teresa Blair, 42, 120 Brace Road, Summertown; and Jeffrey Pete Fautt, 34, 3856 Taylor Stone Road, Hampshire. They were all charged with initiation of a process intended to return in the production of methamphetamine.
The sheriff said Blair received an additional charge of child abuse and the other four were charged with reckless endangerment because two juveniles were present where the lab was operating.

Otis Williams, 27, 531 N. Eclipse St., Florence; third-degree escape, giving false information to law enforcement, resisting arrest and third-degree assault.
Richard Lee Wiley, 20, 6535 Seminary St., Florence; second-degree forgery.
Charles Nathaniel Flippo, 36, 2155 Lauderdale 11, Florence; third-degree burglary, resisting arrest and third-degree theft of property.
Tanny W. Dalrymple, 42, 3245 Hawk Pride Mountain Road, Tuscumbia; two counts of unlawful possession of controlled substance.
Cletus Junior Richardson, 42, 303 S. Patton St., Florence; third-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property.
Robert Andrew Rhodes, 24, 450 Lauderdale 236, Florence; second-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property.

Florence police
Burglary to a vehicle: An amplifier and speakers were taken from a pickup on Westmoreland Street.
Burglary: A television, game system, computer games, six pairs of tennis shoes and DVD player were taken from a residence in the 400 block of North Broadway Street.
Burglary: More than $350 in cash was taken from a residence in the 100 block of Washington Street.
Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle: A CD player was taken from a car in the 1400 block of Carver Heights.
Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle: A purse and contents were taken from a car in the parking lot in the 2800 block of Mall Road.
Unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle: A radio and amplifier were taken from a car in the 1400 block of Carver Heights.
Criminal mischief: A 1992 red Chevrolet truck was damaged while parked in the 700 block of East Mobile Street.
Theft: A purse was taken from a residence in the 1400 block of Carver Heights.
Burglary: Copper from a 15-ton air conditioning unit and 6 feet of fencing were taken from a business in the 3500 block of Florence Boulevard.
Burglary: A sandwich and potato chips were taken from a residence in the 1900 block of Holiday Drive.
Burglary: A sofa, loveseat, table and four chairs, clothes dryer and refrigerator were taken from a residence in the 300 block of Beech Street.
Burglary: A stove, refrigerator and kitchen table were taken from a residence in the 400 block of West Tombigbee Street.
Burglary: An air conditioning unit was taken from a residence in the 100 block of West Lee Avenue.
Burglary: An air conditioner was taken from a residence in the 500 block of North Cherry Street.
