Public pool closing after Sunday

FLORENCE - The Royal Avenue swimming pool will be closed for the remainder of the year after Sunday.
The public pool has been open only on Saturdays and Sundays for much of August.
The pool will be open 1-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday this week but not open on Labor Day, according to parks and recreation officials.
The pool will reopen to the public next spring.
