Steven Drew Barnett, of Killen, was named to the presidential honor roll for the spring and summer semesters at the University of Alabama at Birmingham for earning a 4.0 grade-point average. He is the son of Steve and Linda Barnett.
Darby Harris, a student at Florence High School, has been selected for membership into The National Society of High School Scholars. The society recognizes top scholars and invites students who have achieved superior academic excellence.
Anna Conrad and Nicholas Crenshaw, both fifth-grade students at Hibbett Middle School, attended a People to People World Leadership Forum in Washington, D.C. Along with delegates from around the world, they participated in a weeklong immersion experience to learn about leadership and how great leaders throughout history handled world events.
