Rogers jumped ahead by 15 points with three minutes to go in the first quarter, but Central responded and pulled away for an impressive 63-36 victory Thursday night.

Rogers scored just seven points in the second and third quarters compared to 32 from Central. Drew Harrison led the Wildcats (4-7, 2-2) with 12 points, and Josh Matthews added nine points.

Seth Clemmons led Rogers with a game-high 15 points.

Wilson 81, Colbert Heights 61: Josh Williams scored 14 of his game-high 26 points in the first quarter to lead Wilson (2-7) past Colbert Heights (1-8). Connor Vickery and Jesse Payne added 15 and 10 points each for Wilson. Chad Terry led Colbert Heights with 17 points.

Decatur Heritage 72, Hazlewood 67: Darius Watkins scored 28 points to spark Decatur Heritage to an area win at Hazlewood.

The Golden Bears led 40-36 at halftime, but Decatur Heritage came back to take a 57-56 lead. The Eagles then extended their lead early in the fourth quarter and held on for the win.

Clifton Benford led Hazlewood (4-3, 3-1 area) with 17 points. Ryan Jones added 16, followed by Cadarius Steele with 12 and Jalen Jones with 10.

Red Bay 50, Belmont(Miss.) 45: Kirsten Sharp and Whitney Sharp each scored 14 points in a Red Bay (9-4) win. Anna Brooke Page had a game-high 15 points for Belmont.

Tharptown 64, Mt. Hope 34: Chelsea McCluskly led ten Tharptown (9-4) scorers with 15 points as Tharptown defeated Mt. Hope. Hollie Hines and Autumn Hatton added 10 points each for Tharptown. Tiffany Sparks led all scorers with 18 points for Mt. Hope.

Hazlewood 50, Decatur Heritage 37: Amber Jones scored 17 points as Hazlewood (5-0) dropped Decatur Heritage to remain unbeaten. Lindsey Brown had 11 points for Decatur Heritage in the loss.

Wilson 46, Colbert Heights 26: Jordan Westmoreland and Elena Chowning scored 10 points each to lead Wilson (4-6) past Colbert Heights. Deanna Bryant had nine points for Colbert Heights.

Rogers 50, Central 36: Kim Phillips scored a game-high 17 points and Laken White had 12 points and dished 5 assists as Rogers (6-1) defeated Central. Torrie Smith added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the Pirates. Danah Gilchrist had 13 points for Central.
