Welcome to our arts and entertainment issue, which is one of my favorite magazines to put out because it’s all about having fun.

We have lots of fun ideas for you, including ideas for themed dinner parties. If you are looking for something to do with your family on the cheap, and who isn’t in this economy, we have some ideas for that as well.

Summer is the season of watermelon, and we have some tips on making creative, yet easy-to-make, centerpieces out of this giant fruit. We have some watermelon recipes for you to try as well.

And we’ve got a new column starting this issue, “Mommy Moments,” in which Jennifer Steen Kilpatrick shares best and worst things about being a parent. Jennifer is a stay-at-home mom to 3-year-old Kyndal and 9-month-old boy/girl twins, Logan and Landri.
