Jack E.H. Barnes, 79, Russellville, Ala., passed away Saturday, June 27, 2009, at his residence.
He was a trustee of Mount Star School, Troop 39 leader and co-owner/superintendent of Russellville Cut Stone.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, in the chapel. Officiating will be Brother Dennis Stewart and Brother Jeff Fleming. Interment will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Barnes, and other family members, Zollie Barnes, Joe Barnes, Marie Porter, Wayne Barnes and Patsy Barnes.
He is survived by his wife, Zelma Bernice Reeps Barnes; daughters, Rita Hargett, Faye Seal (husband, Jeremy); daughter-in-law, Sandra Barnes; grandchildren, Kevin Ashley, Dustin Hargett, Elizabeth Seal, Laura Seal, Melissa Liles; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Stratt Barnes, Bennie Barnes; sisters, Rachel Thornton, Retha Weems; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mid-South Home Health and Southern Care Hospice.
