MUSCLE SHOALS - Ralston Turner, Muscle Shoals' standout guard, has committed to play basketball at LSU.
Turner made his decision Monday night after returning from a weekend visit to the school.
Turner, a 6-6 shooting guard, informed LSU coach Trent Johnson by telephone.
“I felt like coach Johnson had my best interest in mind when I went down there,” Turner said.
Turner canceled visits to Butler and Georgia. He said Alabama coach Anthony Grant was supposed to visit him Wednesday.
Turner also took a recruiting visit to Notre Dame two weeks ago.
