'It's not your money'

I am writing to comment on the proposed health care reform plan. Like most proposed legislation it is code named to conceal its real nature, which is intended to allow further government intervention into individual choice. The need to control soaring costs is real but the causes are many and most are a direct result of government ineptitude. How can we believe a promise to bring costs down when the existing government run services are facing huge deficits?
The postal service, Medicare and Social Security are a few examples that come to mind. There are many others but their number and performance are beyond the scope of this letter. A crushing defeat of this socialist power grab is required for the health of the republic and it must be understood that the debate is not a partisan issue and should not be divided along party lines. The Congress must understand: It's not your money!
