Susan Lambert Wade, age 51, of Sheffield, passed from this life suddenly Nov. 1, 2009, after a battle with cancer. Her family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, with Chris Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Susan was a Colbert County native and was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Barbara Lambert; sister, Dorothy Kay; and brother, John Edwin.
Susan was a faithful member of Florence Boulevard Church of Christ. She was a wonderful, loving woman and a fighter. Susan was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was loved and will be missed by everyone.
She leaves behind her husband of 33 years, Glenn Wade; her daughter, Kelly South and husband, Danny; and her baby girl, Mary Kathryn Wade; three sisters, Rosanna Ledbetter, Jane Daugherty, Joan Sanderson; two brothers, Danny Lambert and Tony Lambert; three grandchildren, Nick South, Kevin and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews that were so special to her.
Pallbearers will be cousins and nephews.
The family would like to thank the seventh-floor staff at Brookwood Medical Clinic and a special thanks to Dr. Lisa Larson.
Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
