Praise for theater

I would like to comment on a letter to the editor that published in the TimesDaily recently. First, I want to say to Kimberly Hammond, give me a break and use some common sense. First of all you cannot go to a theater and expect the ticket attendant to sell tickets to a minor under the age of 17 to a movie that is rated R.
Parents, please log on to the movie's Web site or check the listings in the paper and find out the content of these movies. If you have a problem with the behavior of the attendant, you should ask for a manager and report it. The rules and regulations of movie ratings to features are mostly regulated by the Motion Picture Association of America and the theater chain has policies in place as safeguards to prevent selling tickets to minors.
The theater should be praised for not selling your child tickets to a movie that is rated R.
Why not take some responsibility and start purchasing them yourself? Take it as compliment if they ask for ID.
