Danny Gilbert George, 51, of Anderson, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, unexpectedly.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Rogersville Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, with Jimmy Cox and Odis Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Webb, Tim Smith, James White, Joey Dutton, Rodney Scruggs and Camron Frost; honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Danny was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jordan Leigh Putman.
He is survived by his wife, Tina George, of Anderson; son, Heath (Whitney) George, of Ardmore, Ala.; daughters, Nicole (Chris) Putman and Brooke (Nathan) Craig, both of Athens; stepsons, Justin and Devin Long, of Anderson; parents, Gilbert and Dalma Ann George, of Athens; grandchildren, Owen and Natalie George, Jame and Reid Putman and Austin and Grayson Craig; sister, Sherry (Joe) Appleton, of Athens; niece, Amanda Thompson and great-niece, Lacey Thompson, both of Goodsprings.
Danny was retired from GM/ Delphi, Athens.
