“The Elephant Man,” Bernard Pomerance's Tony Award-winning drama, will be performed at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday in Norton Auditorium on the University of North Alabama campus. Tickets: $5, students and UNA employees; $10, general public. The play contains subject matter that may not be unsuitable for some audiences. It is directed by Dr. David Ruebhausen, associate professor of theater.
First Fridays in downtown Florence will feature a local authors table in front of the Irons Law Firm featuring Jean Elkins Chenault, author of “What Star?”; Bobby Denton, “Love Lifted Me”; Jean Gay Mussleman, “Potluck, Postscripts and Potpourri”; and Debbie Wilson, “Brushing Away the Tears.” First Friday is 5-8 p.m. Friday along Court Street and features various artists and musicians.
The Decoys perform tonight at Miss Annie’s, U.S. 43, St. Joseph, Tenn. Performing Tuesday night is Mitchell. Details: 931-845-4949.

Shotgun Lover takes the stage Friday at Old Town Tavern in Sheffield. There will be a benefit Saturday featuring the music of An Abstract Theory, The Threds, Aurora Australis, Bryan Farris and Rob Malone.
Humboldt performs 9 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Friday at J.D.’s Bar and Grill, 505 N. Raleigh Ave., Sheffield.
Joseph Baldwin’s performances this week include: 7-11 tonight, Full Moon, Pickwick, Tenn.; 9-11:30 p.m. Friday, Old Venice, Tupelo, Miss.; 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Foster’s, Tuscumbia; 8:45 p.m.-1:30 a.m. Saturday, PJ’s, Muscle Shoals; 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jonathan’s Steakhouse, Russellville; and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Swamper’s Lounge, inside Marriott Shoals Hotel and Spa, Florence.
Performing at PJ’s in Muscle Shoals on Friday will be Par Four on Friday and Joseph Baldwin on Saturday. Details: 383-1438.
A music show at Wilson High School on Saturday will feature The Family Tradition Band, Jerry and Susan McDaniel, Jordan McDaniel, Gatlan Vinson, Lendon and Linda Balentine and Kenneth Warrington with special guests Deonna Berrens, The Blues Brothers and Pate Ware. Tickets: $5, adults; $3, ages 6-12; and free, younger than 5. The event begins at 7 p.m. Proceeds benefit the WHS baseball team.
The Trey Morgan Band performs Saturday at Parker’s Place, U.S. 43, St. Joseph, Tenn. Cover charge: $5.
