Eugene Clemons

Mr. Eugene Clemons, age 81, of Florence, Ala., died Nov. 5, 2009.
He was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. He was a retired contractor and owner of Clemons Roofing and Installation for more than 40 years. He loved his family, children and grandchildren. He was a great "Paw Paw" to all of them.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Greenview Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Central Heights Community Cemetery. Officiating will be Tim Grigsby.
Mr. Clemons was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Myrtle Clemons; brothers, E.J. and Billy Clemons, and an infant brother, Glenn Clemons; sons, Gary and Tony Clemons.
He is survived by his wife, Jerlene Condrey Clemons; son, Rickey Clemons (Sherry); daughter-in-law, Carol Clemons; sisters, Omie V. Rhodes, Elois Harrison, Maurine Smith, Jane King, Mary Balentine, Ellene Smith; brothers, Jack Clemons (Louise), Larry Clemons; special nephew, Billy Gene Clemons, all of Florence; grandchildren, Jennifer Harrison (Johnny), Curt Clemons, Ashlea Clemons, Stephanie Graham (Jerry), Amy Hines (Brandon), Mallory Clemons; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
A special thanks to Dr. Brown, Dr. Morris, and staff of the sixth floor at ECM Hospital.
