Roger A. Otts Jr.

Roger Allen Otts Jr. 37, of Bessemer, Ala., died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at Winfield Hospital.

Mr. Otts was a native of Alabama and had lived in Bessemer for the past year. He attended Hillcrest Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Fla., and was a self-employed master electrician.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, Russellville, with burial in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville. Visitation was Friday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his mother, Wanda Wilson Otts, Bessemer, Ala.; father and stepmother, Roger Allen Otts Sr. and Wanda G. Otts, Talladega, Ala.; children, Sophia Nicole Otts and Danielle Elise Otts, St. Augustine, Fla.; sister, Jennifer Lynn Otts, Bessemer, Ala.; stepsisters, Carla Ellis, Trussville, Ala., and Misti Rasmussen, Helena, Ala.; grandmother, Bulah Garrett Wilson, Russellville, Ala.; aunt, Sherry Wilson Davis, Russellville, Ala.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
