PENSACOLA, Fla. - North Alabama women's soccer team extended its historic season Friday with a 4-0 win over Alabama-Huntsville in the semifinals of the Gulf South Conference Tournament at Pensacola's Brosnaham Park.

With the victory, the Lions (18-2-1) earn their first post-season win in the history of the program.

Tassia Augusto scored two second-half goals to lead UNA, which advances to Sunday's GSC championship match.

The Lions will play at 11 a.m. against West Florida, which beat Christian Brothers 6-0.

UNA took a 1-0 lead into the half after Hollie Loud connected on a penalty kick at the 7:17 mark. In the second half, Augusto took a cross from Stephanie Bradshaw and scored at 50:02 to put the Lions ahead 2- 0.

LAKE Buena Vista, Fla., - UNA's women's basketball team let an 11-point second half lead slip away as Southern New Hampshire rallied for a 63-60 season-opening victory over the Lions on Friday in the opening round of the Walt Disney Tip-Off Classic.

The Lions (0-1) led by nine at the break, and held a 40-29 advantage early in the second half before the Penmen used a 12-2 run to get back in the game. SNH tied the game at 44-44 with just over 12 minutes to play, then later used an 11-0 run to go ahead 55-47 with 8:25 remaining.
