Charles R. Boyd

Charles "Charlie" Boyd, age 62, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home chapel, with Brother Henry Melton and Brother Tommy James officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Paul McInish, Keith Hunley, Buddy Blackston, Greg Ezell, Billy Bob Snider, Ron Albright, Roger Hill, Steve Hopkins and Jimmy Davenport.
He was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local No. 760 for 32 years, where he served 13 years as training coordinator and 9 years as business manager. He was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Boyd.
Survivors include wife, Beverly Boyd; sons, Charles Boyd (Robin), Chris Boyd, Eric Boyd and Nathaniel Boyd; stepbrother, Charles Mauldin; several nieces and nephews.
