James E. Rayburn

James Edward Rayburn, 60, of Florence, passed away, Nov. 5, 2009, at the VA Hospital in Birmingham. He was a member of the D.A.V., American Legion Post 11, V.F.W., and a U.S. Army veteran.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2009, at Salem Church of Christ, with burial following in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Walter Rayburn. Full military funeral honors will accorded at graveside.

Mr. Rayburn was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Rayburn and Jeff Davis; sisters, Janice Rayburn, June Stevenson and Jane Richie.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Jones Rayburn, Florence; stepson, Eric Cromwell, Florence; daughter, Tonja Dubois, Mo.; stepdaughters, Cammie Cromwell, Wash., Ronda Cromwell, W.Va.; brothers, Jimmy Rayburn, Fla., Joel Rayburn, Florence, Johnny Mac Rayburn, Florence, Herbert Fields, Cherokee, George Fields, Huntsville, Frankie Fields, Florence, David Keeton, Florence, and Robert Davis, Florence; grandchildren, Alan, Ian, Owen, Trinity, April, Sean, John, Justin, Jayleen, Disirie, Travis, Kyle and Kori; great-grandchild, MaKaiya Ann.
