  • "Well, the American people spoke tonight. Man, the Republican Party is doing a great job by keeping the Democrats from doing their job. If the Republicans can keep the Democrats from passing health care, hey, it will be 1994 all over again because American people cannot put the confidence in Democrats to pass legislation."
  • "This is to the person who called in and said something about the people riding down the road using their cell phone and texting. What are they going to do about the police officers and the state troopers because they use their phone more than anybody else does."
  • "I think our city engineer department or whoever is responsible needs to have a look at the road coming out onto Mall Road from Aldi's. Someone's going to get hurt real bad at this intersection."
  • "CEOs, coaches, athletes, actors and others receive more than $1 million a year, not including bonuses or sponsorships. The president of the United States receives $450,000, including an expense account, yet is accountable to 307,870,018 citizens that live in our country."

You know what? He's given some really good speeches."
  • "I'd like to make a comment on the big trucks and all the pollution that they're carrying. If the person who called in would have common sense about emissions they would understand that the big trucks are not releasing pollution, but that is soot coming out of their pipes. So, tell them to study up before they make a remark."
  • "I'd like to thank the Florence Police Department for patrolling over on North Patton Street at the four-way stop over there. That's been a problem for a while. I know you could sit out on the front porch and see people running that stop sign all the time. It's good to see that the Florence police are patrolling that four-way stop a lot better."
  • "I think before the government gives out food stamps they should ask the people, how many cell phones do you have? I'm so sick of going to the grocery store and seeing these people with their food stamps and they have better cell phones and their kids have better cell phones than me or my family - and we work, every day, to pay for our food. I'm not bashing the people that truly need it, but when they buy cell phones before food, I think it's wrong."
  • "Hot dog. I am a non-smoker and I'm in my mid-70s. Thanks to these compassionate doctors, hospitals, city council members and so on, us non-smokers are going to live a long time. The fact is, so long that the real death panel will show up - but it will be too late because we will have wiped out Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, government grants. There will be nothing left for the younger generation."
