SHEFFIELD

Police looking for missing man

Authorities are searching for a man who hasn't been seen or heard from in more than a week, police said.

Sheffield police detective Chad Carruth said a missing person report has been issued for Richard Goodale Kelly, 48, who was living at 905 N. Raleigh Ave., Sheffield, with his sister.

"The last time anyone saw him was the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 7," Carruth said.

According to reports, Kelly got into an argument with his sister and he got a six-pack of beer and his laptop computer and left the residence.

"That was sometime that Saturday afternoon," Carruth said. "We believe he left in a blue 1996 Lexus LS400."

Carruth said no one has heard from Kelly since he left.

"He has not used a credit card since leaving and we're in the process of trying to get cell phone records," Carruth said.

Kelly is a white man, 5-feet 9-inches tall, weighs 155 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes.

Carruth said anyone with information about Kelly's whereabouts is asked to call police at 383-1771 or Shoals Area CrimeStoppers at 386-8685.
