Killen Founders Day

The small Lauderdale County town of Killen, with a population of just under 1,100, celebrates its history each August with a Founders Day celebration.

Numerous events are held during the two-day festival, including a parade, arts and crafts, food, games, music entertainment and an antique car show. There’s also a 5K foot race that has become a popular event during the festivities.
