Shoals Area Labor Council Labor Day Festivities

The Labor Day festivities at Spring Park are among the most popular Labor Day events in the Southeast. The event has attracted many well-known politicians and was the site of President Jimmy Carter’s kickoff for his re-election campaign in 1980.

A parade starts the day at 9 a.m., and numerous activities are planned throughout the day at Spring Park. And there might be a politician or two in attendance among other speakers.
