Directions: Head north on Alabama 17 (Chisholm Road); take left on Lauderdale 8; take right on Lauderdale 7 and go one mile.

Cost: $2 (charge for pumpkins – 30 cents per pound)

Directions: From Cox Creek Parkway, head north on Lauderdale 47 approximately 5 miles; turn right on Lauderdale 30/ Church Road; second house on left

Cost: Free admission (charge for pumpkins - $0.50 to $10, based on size)

Hours: Mid- September through October, 9-6 Monday through Saturday; 12-6 Sunday

McGee Farm

A short ride to the country will provide your family with a memorable experience.

McGee Farm is where you will find thousands of pumpkins, ranging from 200 pounds to the size of your hand. There’s also a lot of outdoor fun and education.

You’ll take a tractor-drawn wagon hayride ride to the pumpkin patch where you can pick a pumpkin just right for you. There are more than 25 varieties to choose from.

More than 30 varieties of mums, straw bales and corn stalks are also available.

Peters’ Pumpkin Patch in St. Florian also offers a wide variety of fall goodies.

Peters’ Pumpkin Patch began more than 40 years ago. You can find pumpkins and gourds for a table-top arrangement or other decorations.

Painted pumpkins and gourds are displayed in the garage. Over 20 varieties of pumpkins and mums, straw bales and corn stalks are available, too.
