Chief: El Rey not violating law
While the owner of El Rey Restaurant might have broken a promise to police, he hasn't broken any laws by operating at times more like a nightclub than a restaurant, Police Chief Greg Ray said.
Ray had asked the city council to suspend or revoke the Mexican restaurant's license after learning that it had been operating as a nightclub after restaurant hours ended on weekends.
