FLORENCE — The discovery of 5 pounds of marijuana led to the arrest of a Florence woman Tuesday night, law enforcement officials said.

Rashanda Monique Koger, 29, 120 N. Richards St., charged with trafficking in marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, Lauderdale County Drug Task Force agents said.

Task force officials joined members of the Colbert County Drug Task, Florence police and Lauderdale County Sheriff’s deputies in a search at Koger’s residence Tuesday.

Authorities said the arrest is a part of an ongoing investigation and other arrests are pending.

Koger was released from the Lauderdale County Detention Center on $26,000 bail.
