Area closings
Colbert, Russellville schools to close early; NW Shoals closes one campus

Traffic inches along Florence Boulevard today under a thick snowfall.

The following cancellations and early closings have been announced.

  • Colbert County schools closed at 1 p.m. today.
  • Russellville schools closed at 1 p.m. today.
  • Northwest-Shoals Community College has closed its Phil Campbell campus, but the Muscle Shoals campus remains open. All activities for the Phil Campbell campus are canceled for today and tonight.
  • Lauderdale, Lawrence basketball tournaments postponed to Friday.
  • Tonight's Alabama Symphony Orchestra concert at UNA has been canceled.
