TUSCUMBIA — Deshler (33-9) completed a pefect run through Class 3A, Area 16 with a 25-12, 25-16, 25-14 win over Clements on Tuesday.

With the victory, Deshler finished 8-0 in the area.

Keyonda Mason keyed the win with 12 kills and six blocks, while Julia Burton added nine kills and Cat Darnell had six. Lauren Cantrell finished with 14 assists and five digs, while Sidney Malone had 10 assists.

n Deshler 3, Brooks 0: The Tigers completed the two-match sweep with a 25-8, 25-15, 25-12 victory over previous area rival Brooks.

Mason led the way with 13 kills, eight blocks, three digs and three assists. Burton added nine kills and Malone finished with eight digs. Also, Christian Darnell had six digs and Anna Wilbanks had three aces.

n Wilson 3, Rogers 0: Wilson completed Class 4A, Area 16 play unbeaten with a victory over Rogers.

The Warriors took the match 25-8, 25-20, 25-23.

Lexie Bradley had 12 kills and five digs, while Ciarra Edwards had 11 kills and five blocks to lead Wilson (34-8, 6-0 area). Ashley Arreloa had six kills and four blocks, while Brianna Terrell dished out 30 assists. Jennifer Schroeder, Sierra Rinehard and Harlee Murphy led the defense with six digs each and Murphy also added four aces.

For Rogers, Ashley Robertson had 10 kills and Maggie Green added seven kills. Lindsey Hamner finished with 15 assists.

n Covenant Christian wins two: Covenant Christian earned a sweep in a tri-match, beating Cherokee and Sheffield both in two games.

The Eagles defeated Cherokee 25-19, 25-13. Covenant Christian completed the sweep with a 25-17, 25-17 victory over Sheffield.

Robin Aldridge led the Eagles (11-6) with five kills on the day. Simran Mahbunani served eight aces for Covenant Christian and Rachel Farris recorded 10 assists.

Samanatha Worsham had five kills in the loss to Covenant for Cherokee.

n Cherokee 3, Sheffield 0: Caylee Rutland had six kills and served seven aces to help Cherokee beat Sheffield 25-14, 25-12, 25-8.

Kayla Hooper had 11 aces for the Indians. Amanda Marquart had 20 service points for Cherokee, including six aces.

n Muscle Shoals 2, Haleyville 1: Arsheana Rhodes had six kills and six dig to lead Muscle Shoals in a 25-23, 15-25, 15-10 win.

Alex Vinson added five kills and three blocks, Alex Hillman had 10 digs and Destiney Smith finished with six assists and five digs.

n Central 2, Muscle Shoals 0: Annabeth Alexander (11 digs) and Rhodes (nine digs) had four kills each to lead Muscle Shoals in a 25-20, 25-22 loss.

Rachel Hunter had three blocks for the Trojans (21-20).
