Florence council to make appointments

FLORENCE — The City Council was to meet this afternoon to make a raft of committee and board appointments as the new administration gets under way.

The council was to meet in a 3 p.m. work session, during which nominations for the various boards were to be made.

The council has already organized itself. During the Nov. 6 meeting, Councilman Dick Jordan was elected council president, and Councilman Hermon Graham was re-elected president pro tempore.
