Florence traffic diverted an hour

Wrecker crews work to dislodge a tractor-trailer that got stuck on Florence Boulevard in front of the Florence fire station as it tried to turn around, blocking westbound traffic which was redirected through the Faith Church parking lot.

FLORENCE - A tractor-trailer that got stuck when trying to turn onto the westbound lane of Florence Boulevard caused traffic to be diverted for nearly an hour Wednesday morning.

Florence police Sgt. Chris Ticer said no injures were reported.

Officials said the driver of the eastbound truck was trying to turn onto the westbound lane near Florence Fire Station 2 when the front tries ran off the roadway.

Ticer said it happened about 10:15 a.m.

“It was a little crazy for a while,” Ticer said. “We had to redirect traffic through the Faith Church (parking lot) until we could get the truck moved.”
