Garden restoration program set in Florence

FLORENCE - A day-long urban forestry and garden restoration program will be offered Tuesday by the city of Florence.

The conference will be held at Cross Point Church of Christ at 1305 Cox Creek Parkway. The hours are 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the cost is $40 per person.

This is the 17th year the city, along with it Tree Commission and Urban Forestry Department, has hosted the gathering. This year’s theme is Garden Rejuvenation and Urban Forest Restoration. Continuing education credit will be awarded to participants.
