Area businesses and schools are being asked to allow employees and students to wear jeans Tuesday in conjunction with the 11th annual Jeans for Justice event.
The event raises money for Rape Response, a nonprofit organization in the Shoals that provides services to victims of sexual assault and their families.
Participants who make a $1 donation can wear jeans to work and school. All proceeds go directly to Rape Response.
Residents from Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale and Marion counties have been regular participants in the event, with the numbers growing each year, officials said.
