Lauderdale leaders to meet on school security
By Tom Smith
The TimesDaily

FLORENCE — Lauderdale County school officials are meeting with members of the county commission today to discuss school security, officials said.

County officials said Superintendent Jennifer Gray and school official John Mansell are scheduled to meet with the commission this afternoon during a work session.

There is only one school resource officer in the county at this time. County officials said the officer, a sheriff’s deputy, splits time between the different high schools.
