Man charged in four burglaries

SHEFFIELD — A Muscle Shoals man is charged in four burglaries that occurred recently in the Village subdivision, police said.

Joseph Wayne Willis, 27, Lot C-4, 1920 Second St., Muscle Shoals, is being held on four counts of third-degree burglary, police said.

Sheffield police detective Scott Wallace said four residential burglaries have been reported from residents in the Village area, which is in southwest Sheffield, during the past three weeks.

Wallace said guns and jewelry were taken in the burglaries. He said some of the items have been found at local pawn shops. Willis is being held in the Sheffield City Jail.

Melissa S. Borden, 24, 797 Lauderdale 114, Waterloo; fraudulent use of a credit card.
