Library now open Mondays; drive set

MUSCLE SHOALS — The Muscle Shoals Library is now open 1-5 p.m. Mondays and closed Sundays.

The library also is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

The Friends of the Library in Muscle Shoals are having a membership drive.

The group is hosting a coffee and dessert tasting

5-7 p.m. Oct. 18 at the library. Several local restaurants and bakeries, as well as home cooks, are providing sweets for the event.

Local artists and authors also will be on hand displaying their works.
