Man accused of choking, attacking girlfriend

TUSCUMBIA — A Colbert County man remains in the Tuscumbia City Jail after he was arrested Saturday for attacking and choking his girlfriend, officials said.

Edward Lee Clay, 25, Streit Lane, Muscle Shoals, is charged with domestic violence strangulation and unauthorized use of a vehicle, police said.

Tuscumbia police detective Sgt. Stuart Setliff said warrants were expected to be issued today for Clay.

He said Clay is accused of attacking his 26-year-old girlfriend, at her residence on John Aldridge Street Saturday.
