Man stabbed to death; woman shot
ZIP CITY – A man was stabbed to death and a woman was shot Monday night at a residence in northern Lauderdale County, authorities said.
Sheriff’s investigator Richard Richey called the incident a homicide, but could not elaborate on the situation.
“We’re just getting to the scene and we don’t have any details,” Richey said just after 10 p.m.
He said he did not have names of the victims at that point and did not know if they are related.
Authorities said the woman was being flown to a hospital for treatment. They added that a search was started for the suspect in the case.
The residence is on Lauderdale 638 in Zip City.
