Math workshop targets parents

FLORENCE — A schoolwide meeting for parents of Florence city school students will be 6 p.m. Thursday on the University of North Alabama east campus.

The workshop is designed to give parents a hands-on approach to helping their children with math homework.

The program, enVisions, is based on the state’s college and career ready standards. Personnel with the Alabama Math, Science and Technology Initiative will be on hand to help parents. Free flash cards will be issued to the first 20 parents.
