Muscle Shoals nurse named nation’s best

MUSCLE SHOALS — A Muscle Shoals nurse has been named the national Nurse of the Year by the National Association of Home Care & Hospice.

Becky Williams, a nurse with Alacare Home Health and Hospice, was chosen among a group of 50 finalists, one from each state. She will be honored later this month at the association’s annual meeting.

Williams was chosen the state’s top nurse in June after a co-worker submitted an article to the association describing Williams’ knack for going above and beyond.

She was chosen for the national title through online voting.
