One killed in Wednesday night accident

WATERLOO — A Lauderdale County man was killed Wednesday evening in a one-car accident near the Alabama-Tennessee state line, officials said.

State troopers said this morning that James Hatchett, 37, 363 Lauderdale 106, Florence, died from injuries sustained in a one-car accident.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Lauderdale County Coroner Andy High.

Troopers said the wreck was reported at 8:45 p.m. on Alabama 20, 16 miles north of Florence.
